Introduction - Get My Prelude Tomorrow!

Greetings,

I am new to the community coming from a 2009 TSX (for sale btw!)

I will be the proud owner of a 2001 Prelude SH 5MT as of tomorrow, silver on black and look forward to learning much more about it.

The Prelude only has 75,000 mi. on it, and I got it for a really good deal so bye bye TSX, hello Prelude. I'm all about no car payments!

I'll be sure to post pics as soon as I can. It may be this weekend.

Search threads created by me for quick/easy facts about the car.

Welcome to the community!

A couple things:

1. Use the search feature before you ask any questions, there are a lot of people that will be dicks to you if you ask questions without searching first. Most people on here are pretty nice and willing to help but there are a handful of pricks roaming around the threads.

2. Good choice in car, you'll enjoy the prelude a lot. I understand not wanting to make a car payment every month, but why give up a 2 year old TSX? Not very familiar with them but I'm sure they're quite nice.

3. Very wise decision in getting a manual, I don't know if you're aware about the automatic transmissions that are mated with preludes, they're very poorly built and almost all of them fail at some point (speaking from personal experience).

Awesome dude glad to have ya around. Post some pics of it ASAP!

You're lucky to find such low miles, they are becoming more and more rare every day.

No such thing as a TSX Type S in the States. Perhaps you're confusing it with the TL Type S?

As mentioned, would keep it but money talks...

One difference I noticed immediately with the Prelude is that it is a much heavier car.

Very clean car! If you don't mind me inquiring, how much did that beauty cost you? Same color as mine also! I know you JUST got the car, any plans for modifications?

Picked it up for $7k with 75,000 on the odometer

No mods yet. Need to sell the TSX first. The Prelude is in good shape; has new tires, new clutch, new timing belt, but the shocks need to be replaced.

As previously mentioned I don't drive more than 50mi/week within an 8 mi. radius, so these tune-ups will be slow and forthcoming

dang man u serious?! Seller left behind the OEM brochure in the trunk and I was looking through it. I missed that.

It "feels" heavier though, especially the doors. Been awhile since I've been in a two door perhaps
