Intermediate shaft (half shaft)

What are the phisical dfferences between the auto half shaft and the manual half shaft? they appear to be of the same length. The auto half shaft is curently on the car and the 5spd is sitting on the floor. They look the same. I want to know if they sent me the wrong one before I start ripping things apart.

The part of the shaft that bolts up(has bearingin it) is not low enough to line up with the trans. This is what I found, when you get shaft off the car you will be able to see the difference. I think what I said is correct I hope it helps.
