Installing OEM kit....????

Tomorrow I am installing my OEM kit on my 01 EBP lude. Any suggestions or tips when installing it? I plan on putting it up on the lift cause itll prob be a little easier that way.

Thanks

When you have to take off the rear bumper...wiggle it up and down and be patient. It feels like it will never come off but just keep at it. Hope that helps at all. Scott

the front and the sides are easiest. the front just slides on. the rear will give a little trouble. have someone to help you out with the rear cuz you have to take off ur whole bumper. remember to pull and lift up to remove the bumper off.

This sounds funny...are you saying that you have to take off the whole back bumper... then take off the rear plastic underspoiler.. put the new oem underspoiler on and then put on the back bumper? haha...

I looked at the installation process and I was thinking that there should be a way to install the rear kit without removing the bumper. In order to install the rear kit, the black piece on the bottom of the bumper needs to be removed, and it is held by some clips, so I think if you can put your hands way high up in there, you can probably, unplug them without having to go through so much hassle.

You can install the rear spoiler WITHOUT having to remove the rear bumper/fascia. I did it on my 98 Lude while having it on my lift. Took 15 minutes.

Yep, that's the way I did it. I did not remove the rear bumper cover because I was afraid of dropping it and scratching it all up or something...

I just undid the clips for the rear trim from underneath the car. It was pretty easy this way except for the one clip in each corner of the bumper...

The instructions for the OEM rear skirt says that you need a "clip remover" to remove 2 pins that hold the bumper to the car. Is that neccessary and if so, where do you get a "clip remover"? Thx!

use a flatblade screwdriver. Clip remover is not necessary.

This rear lip is easier than it sounds!

This should take you less than an hour to do the whole thing. You really don't even need to put it on a lift. I just used jack stands and it worked just fine. About the rear bumper, you would just be wasting your time and effort if you take that thing off. All you have to do is remove the stock underbody piece by way of the clips and bolts, put the new piece on and install the same way you took apart, very easy. The sides are by far the most simple. Have fun and good luck.

just make sure for the sides that you dont break the seven white clips.

pull the stock gray skirt towards the front of the car and then pull it out carefully.

be careful

Use washers between the screw and the wheelwells when installing the front lip. The entire thing to me and my friend about 2 hours. We were basically goofing off and checking out the car step by step.
