Installed Narva Gold and Now the foggies Won't Work

Yeah I just installed a brand new pair today in my USDM foggies and now the foggies ain't working. I even went back to the old bulb and still the fogs won't light up. I think I may have blown the fuse? I will check tomorrow. It's getting dark and it's hella cold outside. When you guys installed the Narva Gold (85watts) do you have to upgrade the fuse for the fog lights? Also, when I get these new bulbs from suvlights it came in these two little white boxes. The bulbs did not have the name Narva GOld on them just read Phillips Germany.

What do you mean about the backwards thingie? The wire coming out of the bulb has a slot at the end and you just plug that into a quick connect metal thingie. I don't think there is a backwards way of plugging into it.

I know it did the same thing to me too. Are you using the wiring that came with it or are you independantly running the wiring for just the fogs.
You need to replace your 7.5 Amp fuse for power mirrors. I bet that is the fuse you have blown.

Mine also came in little white boxes....WTF is up with that. and also the $6.00 I paid for shipping which actually cost $.73

They are supposed to come in little white boxes..that's how they come from philips.

Also..yeah, i agree the shipping is bad news...they charge one flat rate, i'll see what i can do..

i meant that the polarity of the bulb (positive negative), u may have plugged the negative in the positive and the positive in the negative

No the wiring is stock. Power mirror you say. I'll check that tomorrow. Mind telling me where the fuse for the power mirrors are. I know I can check the manual but since you replaced it you should know off the top of your head.

Also, when I was driving in from work today I noticed that my power mirrors and the enviroment cotnrol weren't working and my abs light was on. I'm definitely thinking it's a fuse or fuses. But why did they burn out?

The fuse is down in the kick panel on the driver side left. Mine did the same thing. Pwer mirrors, AC, and the fog lights wouldnot work.

Why is so much stuff going off of a 7.5 Amp fuse......who knows.

Thats why I was asking if it is ok to increase the fuse up to a 10 Amp or does that run the risk of burning my wiring.

If it can I will just run independant wiring for the fogs themselves.

Did you ever get it working without upgrading the fuse to a 10amp one? I'm going to change the fuse when I get home from work today. Just wanted to know if I need to stop at Radio Shack to get a 10 amp one or not.

Update: It was the fuse. I repced the 7.5 amp fuse for the power mirror, abs and now everything works. I'm going to try installing the bulbs again. Wish me luck.

If you upgrade the fuse let me know how it works. I dont know if Im going to do that or just rewire the fogs by themselves.
If you dont upgrade the fuse it will blow again.
You can run one of the Narva Golds and one stock bulb and it will work fine but once you plug both the Narvas in then the fuse blows everytime.
I went through 3 just trying out a few things.

How would you rewire the fogs? I assume this is only a problem with USDM fogs and not JDM?
