Installed my H&R Race springs today, and have a question.
Ok, I intalled my KYB AGX and my H&R Race springs today and it seems like the car isn't that low? I had skunk2's on before lowered a lot, and now I have a bit of wheel gap. How low are your Race springs? How long till it settles all the way? They are new by the way.
It took my H&R SPORT springs about 2 weeks or so to settle down to the 1.4" - 1.5" drop. I think that holds true for almost any suspension mod you add.

Also, does your suspension make hella noise now? I'm wondering if its my KYB's or my H&R's, or I just installed 'em ****ty? (doubt that) But someone please comfort me and tell me your suspension makes noise also!

here it is man. I own KYB agx adj shocks and H&R race springs
I have a no finger gap front and back...maybe a tiny gap on my passenger side front and rear since I don't drive with passengers in my car all too often...and more weight is on the drivers side.
anywho.....mine were about a 1 finger gap from day one and settled about 1/2-1 finger lower over the course of a week or two.
also in the beginning I had some annoying rattling coming from the rear springs....the springs were actually hitting the top metal mount and rattling there. after a while and getting the to sit better by jacking the rear up and adjusting them with my hand in a violent manner....the rattling has gone away and can only be herd over big ass bumps.
email me if you got anymore Q's.

here are some pics.
these pics were taken the day they were installed...they have settled a tiny bit less now...ended up with a no finger gap when I am in the car...a 1/2 finger to 1 finger not in the car.

Cool, sounds like mine. Did you have a larger gap in the front than the back at first? I do. I know it's all installed properly so that shouldn't be it. It's almost like a knocking sound coming from the back, and sounds kinda bad? Happens pretty often also. Do you think I installed them poorly? So I should jack it up and move the spring around? I hope I'm not hurting anything .

Exactly what I was going to ask! Thanks. I have it at 3 right now.

i have H&R race too. i team it up with a set KYB. it does make a lot noise first couple weeks from rear springs after i put it on, especially when go through some small fast bumps. then i found the noises came from the upper part of rear springs, where the springs are closer than buttom half. the upper half spring will hit together when it released and compressed again, especially the upper part of spring. so, i tie the upper half of rear springs with some (well, many) nylon cable ties to avoid it hit together, then the noises's gone. those ties are small, but strong. i had it on for two months now, it never falls off or something. try it if you still can't find where the noise come from
hey flybyeludegettingirls, how long have you had this combo, im really interested in getting the race springs, but everybody's telling its bad for the KYB's. Besides the knocking, any other problems? and what suspension mods do you have besides the rims?
Oh yea, did you also cut any bumpstops, if I cut the fronts only, will it dropp lower in the front

cutting the bumpstops will not lower the car anymore. KYB will void the warrenty if its over 1.5 or so.....but the KYB will hold this H&R race drop beautifully....they work great! They will with hold the spring rates and everything much better than the tokico illumina's or blue's which will blow in a matter of months.
cut both the front and back bumpstops to about 1/3-1/2 of origional size.
I have
H&R race springs
KYB ADJ shocks
Progress rear camber kit
Specialty products front camber kit
BBS RX 17 X 7.5 rims
ST rear swaybar
Neuspeed front strut bar
LSR rear strut bar

not even worried bout warranty cause i bougt em used
but how long have you had them with this combo
Does everyone seem to have a noise problem with this combo? Me and a buddy of mine are doin my combo either sat or sunday with some st sway bars and the ingalls front kit is goin on a as soon as i can get it aligned.... ill let you know how it turns out...
don't be worried about the noise...it goes away and just takes some time for everything to sit in right...it goes away.
and I have had these KYB's for a while....6 months or more with skunk2 coilovers dropped 2 inches and these H&R race springs for a couple weeks or more......they will work great and not blow for a long time
