Yeah the majority of my install was taking the damn resonator off. I think it takes some time to break in. Didn't feel much difference too initially but after 500 miles or so you can feel and hear the difference.

As for the low end, it is barely noticeable but there. I went to the track stock and after with only CAI install. My 60' was a bit slower but I improved my time .4-5 and gained 5-6mph. @86-87mph and now @91-92mph.

Pretty much what the CAI is suppose to do anyways. mid-high hp

do you think some of those gains were due to better driving? 86-7mph seems a bit low for stock, unless you have elevation or bad weather... and thats quite a big gain
I went from 88 to 89-90 with just CAI

of course better driving will definately always be accounted for. These numbers were taken back to back weekends. though the numbers may not express perfect representation of the gains the gains are there nonetheless. Unless you are trying to argue that there are no gains to CAI

post was not ment to show an extremely high gain in the CAI rather an example of improvements of the mod can make. This was no dyno but the closest thing I got on paper. And yes again you must account for better driving & better conditions (though it wasn't). All in all it is an on the buttdyno.

The sound or gains shouldn't be dependent on what gear you are in or your speed.

It depends on what RPM the engine is revving at, because the engine isn't affected by how fast the wheels are spinning, 3000 RPMS in 5th gear and 3000 RPMS in 2nd gear is still 3000 RPMS for the engine.

The sound should be the same in all gears...maybe freeway noise is drowning it out at a certain speed?
