Injen doesn't make a bypass valve.. you may be able to use the AEM one but I doubt it...

From what I've heard there isn't really a gain in performance in using the Injen Race Division CAI over the AEM CAI.. in fact I think some people have said that performance may be a little worse with the Injen.. I dunno.. of course there are other folks who are perfectly happy with their Injen intake so I suppose it's just up to what you prefer..

yea aem makes a by pass valve in different sizes. In my opinion you dont need it, what are you doing driving in 16 inch puddles? you know. I have the Injen CAI, and I like it, makes a good sound and nice top end power.

Bypass valve is not worth it. It only rubs you of power. Its only good if the area where you live is really flooded. other than that its stupid to have it. I mean seriously how many of you race in the rain and especially in deep puddles. NO ONE. so why get it and cut up the beautiful AEM piping.

I say you can save the $40 and NOT cut the AEM pipe by doing 1 simple thing.... drive slow and carefully in the rain and avoid deep puddles.........THATS it.

I'd say stick with AEM cause you can get them cheaper than Injen. The Injen pipe is 2.75 inch pipe v. 3.0 Inch AEM so top end power on the AEM is better, but bottom end will probably be slightly better with Injen. If you want 2.75 inch pipe then get a 93-96 lude VTEC AEM CAI.

Bypass valve=waste of money

If your concerned about hydrolock buy a short ram and make a home depot style CAI.

I have the race division injen pipe and attached an injen cold air extension to it using an AEM bypass valve.. no cutting and no grinding. I get mostly 3" with the race pipe and it only goes to 2.75, not very noticable, for the extension. no grinding of fender to make it fit and no cutting of the intake pipe. Very happy with it.

I have heard that a lot of people have looked at their bypass valve foam and see a lot of **** in it, and I guess it looks like some stuff makes it through (probably coarse foam). I think if you are going to get an intake with the bypass valve you should just keep the stock airbox and put a K&N drop in and remove the resonator, you aren't making much more power for the money a CAI w/ bypass valve costs.
