Ingen Intake

Does this sound like a good deal for this intake?
Injen Cold Air Intake Tube for 1997 - 2001 Honda Prelude - BUY Injen Cold Air Intake Tube for 1997 - 2001 Honda Prelude
Ingen for $66shipped

Does this one require any cutting to install and can water get up into the intake?

Thanks for the help.

Ingen intakes generally are pretty good with fitment.

Shouldn't require any cutting (unless you need to enlargen the hole it will go down in the front of the bumper).

Yes, water can get in if you go thru a big enough puddle.

Just make sure you understand this, that link is for the EXTENSION tube to convert a short ram into a cold air. Or at least that is what I draw from the picture and description. That is made to switch back easily so if it is raining, you can just mount the filter back in the short ram position.

That is an extension tube. This is not a full cold air intake. If you have a short ram already, then this will work. Otherwise, you will end up spending more money for a short ram. In which case, you might as well just buy a full cold air intake.

Yes you will have to cut the opening in the frame to allow for it go down into the fender/bumper area.
