Has anybody had this camber kit installed on your prelude? I was wondering if there were fittment problems with the 3558. It is known that the 3557 kit has some nasty fitting problems on accords. Help me out please
The Prokit will work with this version. However, Specialty Products #67135 is a better choice as the stud is shorter and the range of adjustment is
more in keeping with the 1.3" drop the springs give you on Koni shocks set on the upper perch in front and middle position in the rear.
The only concern-and Specialty is addressing it for Base model Preludes-is that the stud tends to contact the slanted piece on the tower if the stud is too long.
For SH owners the only real solution is provided by www.northstarmfg.com. Their ball joint is tapered for the knuckle used on SH's. It is NOT the same as the Base.
Rear suspension is the same as 4th gen and very easy to do. Ingalls 3571 and 3573 will do just fine depending on you alignment data.
You got Q's-drop me e-mail

Im switching to Neuspeed Race springs next week though. I'm worried about having to grind down the camber kit in order to avoid fitting problems. If you check out the accord v6 forums, theres some post about the 3557 kit, and this guy had to grind it down to make it fit.
So now you tell me-The Neuspeed Race Springs are a different animal. Give Ingalls a call-they and Specialty both have a version of the sliding Ball joint that should do fine. One has a button head bolt that is quite a good fit. The only concern is the adjustment range. In talking with both companies-they do not recommend or warranty a do it yourself fix such as grinding the stud.
Keep us posted.

Yeah, I think at the ingalls website, the prelude can use the 3556 or the 3558 kit for the fronts. The 3556 adjusts up to 3 degrees, while the 3558 goes up to 4-1/4 degrees. From the pictures that are on the ingalls website, the 3556 is a much smaller kit...
i would use the 3558 if you are lowering more than 1.25", specially if you are using the Neuspeed race springs...the 3556 are for cars no lower than 1.25" because of clearance problems with the fastening bolt used for camber adjustment...i have the 3556 installed on my SH and they work fine...on base models, the 3556 or 3558 would be perfect for these cars...i would rather use the 3558, but the guy sold me the wrong set and i don't want to buy another set just yet
yea the 3558 would fit...ingalls uses research and development when they design these kits...it should fit perfectly for base preludes lower than 1.25"....I have the 3556, which are made for the base models, on my type SH and they fit fine
alright cool But then how come the 3557 kit doesn't fit in Accords when they were designed for it? I hope that the only problem Ingalls has Thanks for the help Quaalude and jc836. I'm probably going to get the camber kits installed this weekend, I'll tell you guys how it goes.
Waiting for my Neuspeed Race springs to come in, they should be here by wednesday or thursday. I'll put the springs on friday afternoon, and hopefully get the camber done saturday.
group buy i ordered from has ended.pretty nice deal though I think it was like 300 for all four corners...but yeah there is a group buy on them right now
