info about greddy lip

okay guys... today i sold my WW rs lip to "masamune" ... he had the greddy gracer lip and it shatter when he hit a piece of tire on the highway.. half of the greddy lip was on his car..he had some piece of the lip in his trunk....well, i got a chance to compare the two... WW is way thicker and better... the greddy lip is thin and not as flexible.... greddy lip is some cheap polyurethane... its more of a ABS plastic thing like i always thought... i made a post before asking if its polyurethane or ABS plastic..if its the same as a civic . because my cousin had it on his civic and he too also hit a piece of tire on the highway and his also shatter ... everyone on this board said polyurethane and said its the same thing as WW... well its not... WW will never crack or get brittle..unless it was under some intense heat and made the polyurethane into plastic... greddy is so brittle. ...i can step on the WW and i will no crack ..it would just bend...greddy lip for sure it will shatter or crack if i was to step on it....for sure the greddy lip looks better but the material its made out of sucks...just an info to let you guys know ...since i have seen and compare both up close...

uhm, is ABS plastic flexible? Because I picked up the Greddy lip and I had to "fold" or sorta bend it to get it into my trunk...I don't quite know what you're talking about, Prelude88 because mine is definitely urethane and it's definitely thick. I've had both lips and the RS one has a bit more give to it than the Greddy but I wont' say that the RS won't break. Nothing is unbreakable.

yes.... the WW has way more give to it... and yes the greddy is kinda flexible..half the flexiblity of the WW.. the material isnt the same.. greddy is some cheap plastic.... you wouldnt know this until it breaks... i say give it time and you'll see the difference between the two with the hot and cold climate..the greddy lip will be brittle in time...i can guaranteed that...i have never heard of the WW breaking... i have seen in person two broken greddy lip already....

pearl type sh..... yes it does...

ludatic... trust me the material its made out of isnt the same like the OEM kit... i have the OEM lip on my car right now...

but whats the big deal? its not like OEM kits are breaking like crazy?
im sure greddy is lower, but still, if you hit something big in the road, its probably going to break no matter what

that's the thing....unless you have a fiberglass kit that sits an inch off the ground....you shouldn't have a problem w/ your kit breaking, urethane or plastic. what the hell did that guy do to his greddy front lips to break them? maybe he should stop parking so close to the curbs ::

???? my front bumper is fiberglass and probally less duriable than the wwrs and greddy. and it dosnt break. everyone is so worried about it braking. if you hit a tire any bumper is going to brake. just get it. i think its soooo much nicer than the wwrs. plus the wwrs is sooo old skool. i had that lip back in early 99.

yo pearl old school is not always bad something as aggressive as i have and yours its bound to brake you live in cali your roads dont even compare to where i am... lowering the car here is like trowing money away, cause later on you will haft to get everythign new again, i prefer the lips rather than the full kit because you can lower more and most lips are urenethane much more durable

yup anything can break... and yes the greddy is way better looking then any other lip out there... when i had my JT evo III kit my car was 2 inch off the ground and it never broke on me.... maybe some of us cant drive your suppose to dodge debris on the highway ... i made this post up to discuss about the material...not like it matters but i guess it was a good thing to discuss about since i know more then half of us wants it....
