I have a chance to get a body kit painted and installed for free. I can't decide whether to get the OEM underspoiler kit or get the wings west kit. The OEM is a little too subtle, but the Wings West is a little too aggressive, so I cant decide!!!! The OEM kit is around 800-900 and I think the Wings West kit is 500-600. I know I know, the OEM comes painted, but they discontinued San Marino Red, So I'd have to buy the Milano Red kit and then have it repainted to San Marino Red. What to do what to do???
Does anyone else know of a body kit for the 5th gen that is made out of urethane and that's available still?
Does anyone know of any really really good prices on the OEM kit or the Wings West?

I'm almost positive that Wings West makes the only urethane kit for the 5th Gen. If you want a good price on the RS kit, go to http://www.newwayautosports.com i paid 485 shipped and got it right away. As far as the OEM, if you can find one, you're gonna be paying upwards of a $1,000 wherever you go.
since you have a san marino red lude u might as well just get the ww rs kit. its a waste of money if you buy the oem in a different color and then repaint it.
ice1cube, hahaha. dun worry bro, I was in the same boat you are in. I have a San Marino Red SH, and I thought that the car would look complete with the front lip. I saw it was only 180 at Man Honda. So within a week of buying the car, I call them up, and WAHHHH, tehy discontinuded that color! Darn darn darn. It woulda flowed so well with the painted SH lowers! argh. But now I have this chance to get a kit painted and mounted for free. The more I look at it, the more I lean towards the RS for these reasons:
1. much cheaper! 500 vs 800! We're gonna have to get it painted anyway, so the OEM advantage is out the window!
2. More exclusive. How many 5th gens you see with WW RS vs OEM? I see a LOT more OEM.
3. The OEM is too subtle. One day I was walking in the city with my friends and I saw a San Marino Red lude with the OEMs. I told my friends that that's the body kit I wanted to get fer my car. They looked at it, gave me a funny look, and said "dude, that looks just like your car now, cept it has no wing." It may be very noticable to luders here, but for the average person (or hot chick you want to pickup) I'm sure the WW RS is much more noticable. hehehe.
take a look at his pics with the WW RS on. (can someone post these onto the thread somehow? I dunno how to...) It looks TIGHT!
Well, I think it's safe to say that I'll go with the WW RS unless someone can talk me out of it. Too bad that with the body kit, and rims, it'll be hard for anyone to recognize that it's an SH. Oh well.
hehe, I think teh front chin spoiler just out a lil too aggresively, like jay leno's chin. hehehe. Kulsechsky, what kinda kit is that? I've never seen that b4... is it fiberglass or urethane?

It depeneds who is paying If a dealer get the OEM one adn repaint it but if it is your rents just get the RS
Hahaha, I WISH the rents were paying for this! This is coming out of my own pocket. I dun remember the last time my rents paid for anything... (and at my age, they SHOULDN'T be, HAHAHA)

get the OEM kit or the Mugen kit. they are by far the cleanest looking kits on the market... imo!
I think they are both clean, but I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A FIBERGLASS BODY KIT. Man, my friends have gone thru so much drama cuz of it. If anyother car just SLIGHTLY bumps you, kiss that Mugen front end goodbye. Plus, fit and finish on fiberglass parts, is like flippin a coin. Sometimes it fits well, sometimes you wonder if this kit is for a diff car! Fiberglass body kits suk IMO.

Just look at my sig and you have my argument for the OEM kit
Plus, not too offend any RS kit owners out there (God knows there's thousands of you), but the kit just doesn't fit very well on the sides and back from what I've seen. Too much gap, not very clean looking. Best color for the RS is black because you can't see where it doesnt blend in. Red shouldn't be too bad though.

here's those pics:
looks great....I think that the OEM kit should've come stock on all preludes, but that the WW RS looks more like a body kit. I don't see how you can say that the WW RS is too aggressive...cuz it's still only an add on lip. I think that the WW RS is a great body kit, and it'll definitely be cheaper since you won't have to pay extra for it to come prepainted and then have to pay to paint it again.
thanks for postin the pics Azninside. I sorta agree with you bout the OEM kit, but in a diff way. I think the Type S front lip shoulda came with all the Type SHs. Thats my opinion hehe. More product differentiation, ya know?
I'm getting more used to the WW RS kit. The reason I think it's aggresive is that from teh side view, that front chin really sticks out! But then again, it was buggin me that my friends coulnd't even tell the diff between my SH and a lude with the OEM kit, so WW RS it is!
VTEC_SON, where you getting it for 420? is that including shipping?? Oh tell me tell me please! hehehe.
