I hate washing my car!!!

I hate washing my car because even though I wipe it down very thoroughly, there's always little droplets from the side mirrors that drip down onto my doors as soon as I drive away. This drives me NUTS!!!!!

Where is this water hiding? I carefully wipe the entire mirror assembly, including where it meets the door and the little gap underneath where I know water always collects. I wipe the two screw holes on the under-side of the mirror assembly to make sure no water is in there. I wipe around the mirror itself incase water gets behind the mirror. I even fold up the mirror and make sure no water is hiding in the cracks. And yet, there's always a few drops splattering on my door as soon as I drive away. I think next time I'm just gonna bring a bottle of compressed air and blow it all out. I can't think of any other way to do it. I may just need to buy one of those portable air compressor units!

The other spot that seems to collect water is around the outside door handles. Every time I close the handles water spurts out. Very annoying, not much I can do about that.

And water always seems to leak out from the bottom of the door, but only after I'm done wiping the car down and driving away. GRRRRR....

Well, that's my venting for the day. I curse the man who invented black automotive paint (although I have to admit, it looks great when clean!!!). So anyway here's some pics of my freshly painted car: Pics

I find this to be cumbersome and time consuming, having tried it a couple times. Perhaps my leaf blower is not powerful enough

Best solution is to go drive on the highway and air it all out.

well... i would say use the usual "absorber" cloth to dry the exterior... then take a leaf blower to all the gaps you cant get the cloth to...

and then dry anything that got wet

With a good wax job this problem will fade away, or shall i say drip away.

That's the way to do it if you want to get the excess water out of the cracks and such. I find that on my car that water drips out somewhere around my stock wing, always leaving marks on the bumper. Oh well.

I luv washing my car, wash it about every week. I only spend 50 cents because most of the time it is just dusty. I live just over a mile away from the car wash so I just drive home and dry it. Then I don't have to wory about spots so much.

BUT if you do get spots, I have a spray bottle that I use to mist water over the car and then hand dry it again. Usually helps it shine a bit more as well.

It's a lot of work, but done every week I spend less than 30 mins keeping it that clean. Except for the occasional deep clean/wax every couple of months.

lol i thought i was the only one. Ive had 2 incidents where I had a spider ran out of the vents while I was driving. Scared the **** out of me. And yesterday I discovered a lizard chillin in the passenger side mirror. A quick run on the Interstate took care of that one haha.

Blower first..... then absorber

The place that I wash the car has a compressed air hose..... I use that on the mirrors, door handles, & trunk. If I go somewhere else, I dry the car, drive home, then dab the water drips with the absorber.

I thought I was the only one which that drove nuts......

Haha i killed one the other night, but i believe there is still one more lurkin around outside. I think there is one inside too because i see lil strands of webbing. But im not too worried about that. If its in the car its most likely dead since the weather has been pretty hot and my car is never in a shade. So the spider probably had a heatstroke and died somewhere in my car

Wrap a dry microfiber cloth around each mirror after you get done drying the rest of the car. I tend to tie it like a bow around where the mirror comes off the car. I just wash, dry, wrap, and chill in the house for about 30 min to an hour. Seems to work fine for me
