hello

i'm a little late on this discussion, but i too didn't like my stock seats much.
So, i did a simple modification to make them into "bucket seats".
they don't feel like fancy real racing seats, but it was a lot better than before and cheap. what more can you ask for?

i also cut the brackets and welded them at a lower point. the seat is about an inch lower. i can sit in the car with a helmit with no problems.

i went autocrossing with it and stayed in the seat rather well.
a couple of autocross guys recommended the CG-Lock and that made a huge improvement.

here's the write up on the stock seat into bucket seat conversion
WRITE UP: How to convert stock 5th gen seats into BUCKET seats!

enjoy
