I/H/E Help anyone who has it check this out.

How much did all this cost you, because im wondering if im being charged to much. My mechanic which is from the family says, its gonna run me about $430.00 for all the install includes the gasket or the new rings for the header itself instead of using stock, is he over charging me?

that's a lot for install........install on intake you can do yourself or at most pay 50 bucks. Install on header should be around 100 and install on exhaust should be like 50 or something.

The install of my Header, exhaust, dampers and spings, cost me $200, a case of Labbatts Blue, and 1 large pizza. My friend's brother did it, and I helped/watched/supervised.

You can do the labor yourself. It is not that hard, just have a friend or two help you with the headers and exhaust. There are no special tools required for those mods.

it was...

anyway, you could do the intake and the exhaust by yourself.

there are some good instruction on texas prelude owners site on the bottom of this page.

exaust system or just exhaust muffler?

muffler you have to have it welded from a shop $50 or less]

system, you could do it, but you probably need a lift jack, otherwise it's gonna be dangerous.

header, i don't know. I don't think headers do too much on ludes, like 1 to 2 horse power or something

good luck. Some shops do crappy install anyway, so it's better if you do it. save money and learn about cars at the same time
