I envy you 5th gen owners...

and 4th gen owners cuz i used to own a '94 in 2003 and i'm still missing it!. I got a '06 RSX right now and it's just not like the 4th. The handling was so perfect, i get scared everytime i try to push the RSX. Compliments left and right but not with the RSX...1 post since 2004..hmm should i sell my car and get back to the 4th gen?

I'd say, follow your heart...
If you prefer the Prelude the answer is quite simple.

Its interesting you bring this up. I beat a 2004 RSX Type S from an 80 roll 2 days ago. I drive a 99% stock 2001 5 speed prelude. Go with a 5 speed 5th gen you will not be dissappointed.

Stock vs. stock, its a driver's race. The prelude has more torque, but the RSX is ~200lbs lighter and has i-vtec.

5th gen base = 2954lbs
RSX = 2766lbs
Difference = 188lbs

So, to answer you question, no it is not more than 200lbs heavier.

Well if you're not happy with the RSX, can afford to sell it and can find a decent Prelude, go for it! Life is too short to drive a car you hate

You tell us, it's your car, your money do what you want. If you like preludes and want one, get it. If you don't, be happy with what you have.

i took it to a place where big trucks get weighed before they drop thier steel and tubulars off in a yard. I was able to do so as i know one of the guys who mans the scales (general steel, edmonton ab) and he allows such things if you provide a donation to the Childrens Miracle Foundation- where dreams come true... He keeps a donation box at the office desk so if you put like some money in it he gives you free weight slip. By the way i had just over a half tank of gas and was not in the vehicle, that is car weight only.
