Just buy a usdm obdII h22 or a jdm h22 and swap it out. If this car is paid for just spend 1,700-3,500 to have it in tip top shape.

google.com

search a bit on here for motors and youll find a shop.....shouldnt be too much.....ie 2-3000 for a straight swap....you dont need a tranny, or anything else, just a USDM H22a4....or you can splurge and get a H22a, but youll need to swap around some parts to make it work....plus if your in a inspection state you wont pass because your no longer OBDII compliant....like Michelle is now with her Type S swap

^the type s is jdm, and the jdm is jdm lol
I can't remember 100%, but I want to say it may not be cali-proof to use the jdm, since they do not use obdII. Of course you can use your old motors distr.,oil pump, ecu, etc and have it run like an obdII and hopefully pass emissions.

i say get a JDM h22a. a little more work on the swap but the prices are generally cheaper and you get more compression with a closed deck.

with a hole in your block I'm surprised your only indicaiton was a blinking oil light...

It must have made SOME kind of sound as it blew chunks all over the road.
