Remove the trim panel around the radio (also goes up around the climate control). There are eight plastic clips around its perimeter (three on the top side, three on the bottom side and two located beside the plastic bar that separates the climate control from the radio.) Use a straight bladed screwdriver covered with tape on its head to prevent scratching the plastic when taking it off. You will then see four screws holding in the audio unit. Remove those (and unplug the radio antenna) and you should see the serial # on the back.
I had to do the same thing a couple of months ago.
Also you might want to consider getting the Helm manual (the steps above are straight out of it).

Hey.

THE same thing happen to me. AND I said #### that as well.
I do not use a screw driver to get that off.

I just pull really hard and it comes off.
Once you have that off its a piece of cake cause everything else
kinda makes sence. Just unscew it and you will find the serial at the bottom.

GOOD luck!

Here's an even easier way...

Open up your glove box... on the right hand side of the glove box there is a little white sticker with some numbers and letters... thats the Serial# for your CD Player.....

And by the way... I got a new stereo and gave my stock one to one of my boys. I never got the code for it. Do I just call up the dealership that I bought the car from and give them the Serial# and VIN of my car??? I heard that the dealership needs to physically see the car... they wont do it over the phone.....

When I needed the code, I just called a local Honda dealership and gave them my VIN and they gave me the code right back on the phone. They didn't verify anything...

Unless they verified my phone number against the name on the title, but since I called from work I doubt that'd work.

no you don't have to pull the radio to reset the code...just pull the radio ecu fuse and then put it back after 10 seconds. Then try entering the code back.
