how safe is turbo???

Ok, I have i/e/pullies/stage2 crowercams with camgears, v-afc, and ofcourse the retainers and springs. 2001 SH. I'm thinkin of getting turbo but don't know if it's ok considering i got the cams... anyone know?

what kind of turbo is good for the money? how much is it? what is the safest turbo set up i can do so i can still get atleast like 60 to 80 horsepower out of it so i'm in the low 13's maybe 12's. anyone who knows alot please tell me about this? what about my stock pistons? are those gonna be a problem? what is the safest psi besides like 1 psi? anyone know alot about this subject?
and i know someone will ask.... I already did a search and couldn't find anything.

I am not 100% sure but I dont think you will be able to run the cams w/ a turbo set-up. You can run about 6-7 psi on a H22A, but turbos are very high maintainence.........most kits come w/ everything you need, they range from $2800 to $3500 plus install.......they are safe but just like any FI do put some extra stress on the engine which may o may not affect it in the long run.
Honestly, if you do pan on putting a turbo, do your rasearch on how it works, what each component does, such as a wastegate, BOV, IC and so on..........
Honestly if you are looking for constant power either go w/ the JRSC or continue doing some more n/a mods and tuning..............
If you are looking for instant power get a nitrous kit but beware this also requires research.............

yeah that's understandable... i'm not gonna do any more mods for atleast 2 years..... i gotta lower my car next which is gonna be like 1500 dollars considering i do it the right way with shocks and springs with camber kit. anyway... if i do plan on going N/A... what should be another good mod after the cams? i know pistons are nice.... i bet that'd be a big amount of money after installations and tunning.... what kind of power would i get from pistons? i bet there is something else out there that would be a good decent 10 hp gain for less than a grand

You can port and polish your head, get a TB and port match the intake manifold, the you can get pistons to raise the compression etc

You can basicly work on your head and motor port and polish your head, better T/B, pistons with a higher compression. Preludes are heavy they need some type of boost I belive to be fast, you might wana try to do some weight reduction.

I'd definatly swap out the cams if your going to go turbo. The stock cams will make more power smoother anyway. The crowers have too much overlap and it's going to be impossible to tune out with cam gears and you're car won't run right if you do that anyway.

Since you're looking for 60 to 80 horsepower you're definatly looking at Turbo ir Nitrous. Get the FMAX kit or maybe the Greddy kit, if it makes good power, which it may not looking at some of their other kits or get a NOS Direct port and run 80 shot. Which is perfectly safe. I ran 100 shot for 2 months before going turbo and have yet to have a problem.

I'd go turbo, just like someone said, read up on it, mostly the fuel management, which is the most important part.

since i'm having a shop do this i'm assuming they'll know how to do the port and polish job? pistons will be expensive won't they? or no? considering install and stuff? oh yeah, what does T/B stand for? and can anyone give me about how much this all would cost? especially the work on the head cuz i'm having it done by a shop... thanks guys
