How often do you guys grind your gears?

How many times do you guys grind your gears, lets say, in a month?

I've been grinding on second recently. At least twice a week.
Does this happen to even good drivers?

Will grinding at least twice a week, send my a** to buy a new clutch very soon?

How long does a clutch last?

How much pain can a factory clutch endure?

Same here. Maybe once or twice a month. Almost always when dealing with the speed bumps in my apartment complex...

I probably stall my car once every two months or so too. Ah well, can't be perfect all the time

For some reason I havent grinded gears yet???!!
I have only stalled a handful of times, its usually when i am tired or something. I have had the car since september and i hear that its hard to put into 1st and/or reverse, but i havent really had that problem either. I guess that i am just lucky or something.

In my prelude - i have never grinded any other gears except 1st to second and its usually when accelerating, not lazy shifting at all. I don't know - i've done it prolly 50 times in the life of the prelude. Seems like everybody complains of the 2nd gear grind.

i grinded last week... was shifting and hit a bump in the road - foot came off the clutch and GRSRETRYGDFGDFGDG.. that nasty sound!!

and it's not the clutch that gets screwed when u grind, it's ur tranny.. the synchro's and stuff if I'm not mistaken... do it too often and u will start "popping-out" of gear..

i grind about once a month maybe. the most wear on your clutch happens when you launch, ride, or burn the clutch.. if you race a lot, esp. if u rev really high to launch, ur clutch won't last very long..
