side mirrors need painting BAAAAAAAAAAADLY

i got quoted 300 and i thought that was ridiculous. opinions?

That seems a little ridiculous... I've been quoted that much for the front bumper.. and thats a much larger surface area!

I was qouted 525 or so for front, rear, side skirts and fenders.

I think 100 is the most you should pay. Hell, do the sanding and prep yourself.

you know, when you deal with a paint shop, there's generally a "minimum setup charge" for mixing the paint, prep, materials, etc. So, often, painting a bumper will not be substantially more than painting two side mirrors. After all, you're dealing with some guy needing to spend only an extra three minutes spraying a bumper vesus side mirrors.

I think $300 is ridiculous; my paint shop generally charges about $150-200 per body panel on average-sized cars. So, I think a good price for a proper, high quality paint job should be at most $200. You may find it cheaper, but make sure they are matching the paint color to your car, using high quality paint, properly prepping the mirrors, and generally do a good job (no overspray, etc.). In fact, a good paint shop may even remove the pivoting part of the mirrors so that they can paint into the cracks.

yeah that price is outrageous.

my bodyshop does the front bumper for $100 with a 5-year warranty.

I had a big dent on my rear panel, and they fixed and painted the area for $150.

And since my car is pearl white, it is a lot harder for them to match the paint, so they do a lot of paint blending.

yeah that price is pretty high, but most of the time, youre paying the shop for their time. while they are painting your side mirrors, they could have been doing something else.

$300 is a bit much. Most likely it includes removal labor and such (maybe).

Remove your side mirror assembly from vehicle. Bring it to them. Have them paint it. Should be cheaper.

Yea remove them and take them in . Thats the best thing you can do. I think my pieces on my old Eclipse was a lot more if on the car, and also they couldnt get all of it because of the rest of the car. So by taking it off you allow more surface area to be sprayed and costs less for you!

Dude that is rediculous. I just got my jdm mirrors back today and I was only charged $75. I gave them the mirrors 2 days ago and they took every piece apart so it looks like it came out the factory. No overspray or nothing. Thumbsup for Moore Customs lol

I got quote range from 36,40,50,75,100 to 200
I went to the 36 yesterday and I will go to get it tomorrow but may be a little higher coz may be it is higher from the quote. I will let you know.
I took the mirror out and gave them only the mirror to paint.
......
I already got it back for only $35
