i ran a track time of 14.7 in ss before i leaned out and burned a valve that was with a 75 dry shot. if your going to run a 75 shot make sure that its either wet or you have upgradeed fuel pump so you don't lean out. sucks major arse.

Hahaha... they aren't THAT bad... but I agree, they're mostly useful as a "relative" test. And when I say relative I mean relative to your friends using the gtech at the same time as you, or to your previous runs to see how much faster (or slower) you got.
Plus, it's fun to try to get those numbers down, and laugh at your friend when he says that he got this insanely fast 0-60 only to realize that he probably put it on wrong.
Actually, depending on how level your surface is, they are exactly the same as track times. Now, I said times, not miles/hour.
I have used the GTech while running at the track and the time was perfect every time. The MPH were off by 3-7 every time.
I trust everything but the speed on those.
I've used it as good as possible too, but I don't trust it. All my times were faster on the Gtech meter than at the track. Usually by 2 or 3 tenths. Besides how did you set it up at the track? Did beat the other guy to the staging lights and quick get it level?
