How to disconnect annoying "door open" beep noise??

You know how if you open your door while the key is in the ignition, the car beeps nonstop? Does anyone know where the speaker for that noise is so I can shut it the f__ up?? It sounds like it's coming from behind the gauges but I don't remember anything that looked like a speaker last time I was back there. I had disconnected the door switch (that black nub the door shuts on along the sill), but that makes the car think the door is shut all the time (meaning that my alarm wouldn't go off and neither does the dome light).

Someone should scan the Helms into a PDF file... they could charge 10$ for the download...

Heh... help everyone out and make some cash.

if you have oem, hold down the lock and the option button, the little red light on the transmitter will flash. That will turn it off, do the same to turn it back on.
