Just started rolling around in it, then bang license gets suspended. It's just sitting in the garage now, I wish I had money saved up. This would be the perfect time for the tranny swap and custom turbo.
I was going to go to the meet but I was in no condition to drive that morning

In response to the original point of this thread. There's plenty of ways to get a 'Lude to hang w/ a 5-speed. What matters is if your talking 1/4...normal street race off the line....or street race when rolling....I get my ass handed to me by about 1 to 1.5 car lengths in any situation off the line....change the scene to rolling at any given point...things take on an all new meaning. I have no problems with most other cars in a fair contest if we're rolling...for instance I took on a 2002 Monte Carlo SS just the other night....he has about 75 more ft./lb. of torque...but once we were rolling it was all over. To answer the problem of "off the line" look to Level 10 and have fun owning 5-speeds and telling them afterwards you drive the horrid auto. I will have all this done in a couple of months and will be sure to keep everyone updated.

First of all...you'll always get bog off the line...this being caused by the efficient but not meant for pure performance torque convertor. Also, don't stall all the way to 2200 rpms....I personally stay around 1500-1800...I tried both ways on the track and the latter got me better times. You're just gonna have to go to a track and try several methods before you get it down. But you're still gonna get taken off the line...sorry its just gonna happen.
All i can said is depend on the driver. i kno some lude driver hitting like low 16 with E/Cai while my friend SS hitting 16.1 with CAI/Pullies/Venom 400 ( NOT NOS.) Another guy have I/E/H/ hitting 15.9 with SS
