HOW to clean my AEM CAI filter?? Anyone done this?

Its been almost like 9 months since i got my AEM CAI on. When i recently took off my front bumper I noticed the filter is very dirty. What can you do when you live in NYC and you are a daily driver. But i was just wondering have any of you ACtually cleaned their AEM filter ever since you got it.

If so...what do you do and what do i clean it with. Steps, instructions, personla experience and opinions are welcome.

Go anywhere and get a K & N filter cleaning kit, and read the instructions, and do it. Its really easy, a 5 year old could do it....

its easy but time consuming... buy the k&n recharger kit...
jack the car front right side, take the tire off...
unbolt ALL visible bolts in the wheel well and then look under the front right side of the car you will see a couple bolts (about 4)
take those bolts off now you car take off/peel back the plastic trim and pull out the filter... use the recharge kit let filter dry and then re-attach and put back all the bolts.. all done

I remember someone talkin bout it before but I never saw one....where would you buy it and for how much? How often should you do that? I've probably had mine on for close to 9 months, so it may be getting close for me to do that too.
