High Flow Cat question

Im getting ready to redo the whole exhaust on my car...headers and exhaust. Im also deciding to go with a high flow cat since i dont want to deal with the headaches of test pipes or straight pipes. My question is if I put on a high flow cat, will my O2 sensors throw a CEL? I dont see why it would come on since i will have a cat on, but Im just worried because the flow of exhaust gases will be much greater with my exhaust setup rather than stock setup. Any help is appreciated!

if installed properly no. Had a rattle underneath my car and went from Oem to magna high flow. Took the noise away and cant really tell a difference between the two. The mechanic even showed me my old one the honeycomb like center was very clogged. So i know it should run better. Another weird thing was the box said not california approved. So Im Guessin it wouldnt pass smog (the one I have)

i have amagna flow and no cel, however when i got mine i bought one with two bungs in it(before and after cat), i plugged the one with a bolt and the other with my o2 sensor, no issues here, truthfully i like the magna flow but dont really notice any power gains however i do havce a stock exhaust on the one that has it.

Alright, well i hope that when i get my exhaust done there wont be any problems....by the way, will a high flow cat quiet the sound of my exhaust some because im a little concerned about how loud my exhaust will be. Im putting on a SMSP 421 header w/ a Apexi n1 cb exhaust. What do you guys think?

I think you're spending a ton of cash for a few hp. The cat has little effect on the tone, when you're talking about this cat vs that cat. However, it has a pretty big effect when talking about cat vs no cat.
