HID help PLEASE!

I was wondering if you all could help me out. I have a 8000k kit with OSRAM ballasts, and I purchased 5200k Mister Jung bulbs. They had different connectors so I had to cut off the connectors on the 5200k bulb. I then tried to rig the connection using wires, and after turning the ballast on, the new bulb just kept blinking like it was trying to start but couldn't. I then thought it was just the bulbs, but when I plugged the original 8000k bulb in, it did the same. Do you think that there are bulbs that won't work with certain ballasts to the point where they mess up the ballasts? Do you think the rigging of a jump wire shorted it out? I plugged in the 8000k bulb to the other side, and it works, so I know it's something with the ballast. I'm really at a loss and have no idea what to do. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Found out the problem... I blew a fuse. But for some reason, it kept giving some voltage to the ballast. After replacing the fuse, the bulbs worked fine. I have a MisterJung 5200k bulb set and it appears to be like oem white (4200k) The bulbs are not coated at all. Does this mean that my bulbs will get progressively whiter or bluer as they burn in? There's a big difference between my 8000k and these, I can see much better. Bit I wish they were a tad bit bluer.

How crazy is that though, there was still voltage going through the wires even though the fuse was blown! I have a really dumb question, on the left side of the posts, I used to have a post count for everyone that posts a message, but now it's gone, can someone PM me and tell me how to turn that on?
