hey first post, and i need some advice

hey its my first post to this forum but im not a new lude owner.
just like to say hi first of all and that i need advice (please post any recommendations)

to get to the point:
through a series of events, my lude's transmission was twitching out so i used my factory warranty to get it replaced (with another auto tranny). anyway, when i got my lude back i noticed a loss in power not so greatly noticeable but maybe roughly 15-20 hp. Since then, over the past few months (3-4) my lude's power just keeps on decreasing.

I press the "pedal to the metal" and i can hear my engine working like it always did just i dont feel the car pulling at all anymore. (everything runs fine, just the power output that actually reaches my wheels feels like a 4 cylinder accord engine, no offense to accord owners, just relevant comparison).

What the heck is going on?

I don't really know much about engines but my guess is that power is being lost somewhere and i dont know where that is.

any input or info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Have you checked for detonation,as well as all your sparkplugs, oil possibly a cylinder gone somewhere, i doubt it but its a possibility.

a cylinder gone? hmm that could be a possibility since i switch intakes every so often (something could have gotten in through the intake manifold) but his car was considerably slower and didnt go into vtec. ill consider it though.

yea i changed my sparkplugs, no effect

i switched to synthetic thinking it might do something, no effect

could it be a misalignment in the cam gears? or something to do with pulleys? (do auto's have pulleys?) fuel injectors?

if you have warranty just take it back, get a loaner and tell them to fix it. dont waste any more time driving it or stressing about it. WARRANTY- it covers more then your ass, it also covers your dealers screw ups.

I think my friend has the same problem but it came like that from the factory. He has i/h/e and his sh*tz slower then my brothers 99 Civic EX with i/h/e. I drove it once and was like WTF. I rape him everytime we race. I say within the 1/4 mile, i'm about 5 car lengths ahead maybe more. Oh, I drive a 2001 Prelude 5 spd, he has 2001 Prelude SS.
