Help!!! Wet seats...

OK...heres the deal. I got a 97 Prelude. My back seats are getting wet...started off with the back passenger...and now is slowly moving towards the driver side. I've checked the drain hoses for the sunroof and they're fine. I've pulled out the trunk floor and looked. Seems like the cover for the fuel pump, around the edges are wet. There is anything hole with a think a wire comming out of it. Not sure what it is...but it seems wet.

Anyone got any ideas of what is causing my problem.

Thanks

I know this may sound primitive, but have you checked any of the window weatherstripping? Try giving it a car wash. Do you drive through puddles a lot, I think it'd be nuts if it were somehow coming from the bottom...

Lack of potty-training?

Go to a carwash and spray the trunk, then look inside. If you see water, it's probably your trunk lining/weather-stripping. Also check the drain plug under the donut.

The reason the rear seats are getting wet - It is because the spare tire well is full of water, and when you stop quickly the water moves forward underneath the seats making them wet.

Here is the Honda OEM part# for the taillight gaskets

and if you are planning to get your seats dry soon, i highly recommend you to take them out completely, that seat can suck up more water than you think.

Had the same problem. Put new gaskets on the tailights first but it still leaked. Ended up finding the leak on the trunk vent on the driver side. It was coming through one of the mounting bolts. Took off the bumper cover and put new gaskets on each side and I also siliconed around the screws for extra protection. Had to take the back seat out for a couple of days to let it dry.
