help... unsteady idle

my friends car just keeps jumping between 1000-1500 rpm..... not too sure what it is.... checked plugs, timing, intake manifold..... we think one of the fuel injectors might be bad... not too sure... any other thoughts? thanx

what are his mods? it could be a vacuum leak though. does he have a AEM or anykind of intake?

yeah he has an aem cai... by the way this isnt on a lude. Its a 91 Civic Si HB... Thanks for the help

well since its on a civic I might not be able to help much. If it was a Lude I would suggest checking for vacuum leaks at the throttle body/intake manifold. Make sure all the "gold" nipples are sealled tightly. Or check the butterfly and see if has separated from the vacuum hose causing a leak. tell him to check and see if there are similar components.

maybe someone will come along to help.
