HELP!! Type sh rev limiter and VTEC problem

My 5th gen type SH has randomly changed. The vtec doesn't feel like it kicks in and i now have a rev limiter at 6,500 rpms when i used to be able to red line it.

Is your car up to operating tempurature when you try to engage vtec and then proceed to redline? If so what is your oil pressure at 3000rpm?

I have the same thing going on with mine. I thought it was limp mode but car runs like a champ (no cels) other than the rev limiter and weak vtec. you guys think I should start looking into the wiring or the vtec? seems like there is 2 million possibilities.

If there are no codes then only 1 of 3 things are wrong...

Low oil pressure
Low oil level
Engine below operating temp

Sometimes people don't think they have codes when they do, a lot of older cars get the bulb for the check engine light removed so that shady people can sell them. Just turn the key to ON and make sure all the lights on the dash work.

Thanks, I just threw a code an hour ago and I'm going to pull it and see what it is.
