Help with my CF Hood...

I got my hood about 6 months ago. It looked awesome when I first got it but right now it looks like absoulte crap... its comepleltey faded and oxidzed. You can see the back bone throught the front of the hood... I cant figure out what going on. Has any one else experienced this? I got an appointment at a local detailing place aournd here the guy says that he thinks he can fix it and wants to charge me $100. Its not too much, but if i could avoid it id like to. If anyone can help me please do. Thanks.

I had the same problem with my first c/f hood. You need to get some Mothers wax prepping stripper and use that to get rid of the oxidation. Then you'll want to take it to a shop and have them clear coat it so it will not oxidize any more. I wouldn't pay more than $120.00 for this.
