Help me with my suspension. I don't know what to choose!

Hi guys,

I was supposed to get tein suspension but the price has got to me. the super streets here are worth 2000$ as quoted from a shop.

these BC racing ones are worth 1100$

http://www.redlineperformance.co.nz/...cts&part=25999

these are D2 Racing ones they are worth 1600$

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-268202072.htm

Does anyone know the diffrences?

- They are All pillowball
- All are adjustable
- All have front adjustable camber plates

I know the BC ones have 30 adjustable levels & D2's have 36 adjustable levels of dampening and stuff and the teins have 16.

What would you suggest? I need some help to make my mind up. please help me I am going crazy!!

Do you want performance or looks?

Performance, get koni's + ground controls. I don't believe there is no one willing to ship to NZ.

The rest are all standard coilovers which work but aren't the best for the money. Wow if you are willing to pay $2000 for teins...you could get serious koni's for that amount of money.

Pillowball mounts don't matter on a prelude due to the suspension design. No matter what they tell you, unless you modify your top mount (and no you can't do it yourself), there is no reason to get pillowball mounts. That's more for macpherson strut designs. Preludes have wishbone type suspension.

Adjustable doesn't matter too much as you will probably just set it one way and leave it. I mean you seriously aren't going to go out there and adjust all your shocks daily.

X2!! and even with the konis you still have the adjust ability, athough adding to what he said, once you set them you'll probably just leave them alone, UNLESS you race the car. then ya you'll wanna adjust from there

Thank you. You guys have helped me make my mind up. I wish I lived over in the states I would be buying everything for my prelude but I don't live there. I will be going for the BC's now they are the cheapest. Thank you guys!

BC makes some quality stuff. My friend has a set on his s2k, they feel and handle great. I think preludes and s2k's have the same wishbone suspension design.
