HELP!! Hit a pothole last night. Car doesn't feel right.

OK. Here's the deal last night I was driving along when suddenly I see this pothole on the road. I didn't have time to react so I hit it full force with my left front tire. I was doing about 50-60mph. This was on a highway. Guys the sound was so loud. I pulled over to the side of the road. The tire has a huge bubble on the sidewall, I can't tell whetwer my rim is bent. Also now my car pulls to the right. Is is because of the tire or the rim been damage? Or is it something worse? My other question is whether or not I should buy one new tire or a new set. I have the stock RE92s with 21,487 miles on them. Would it be safe to put 1 new tire and the rest are older? Thanks for your help. I'm taking the car to the dealer tomorrow for a oil change and a couple of of little things.

you probly whacked it out of alignment. If you plan to replace the tire I would AT LEAST change the front two together. Also check the rim when you replace the tire to be sure and get it aligned. Hope this helps.

Is the tire leaking air? if it is, then you probabably bent the rim...

If it was me, I would first just put a new tire on and get a alignment, if the car still feels funny or still pulls then I would replace the rim.. if that does not cure it, then you might of messed up your suspension....

Odds are you just messed up your alignment, which is easy enough to fix

Sounds like the alignment. I would get at least 2 tires, but you are getting pretty close to the end of those tires. I SQUEEZED 29K miles out of them before I had to change. Good luck. Hopefully, it wasn't an expensive mistake.

Yeah, definitly the tires are of utmost importance. If theres a bubble, theres trouble.

You should defenetly do alignement and 2 new tires like everyone said. Check the rim as well. Make sure also to check out the linkage and joints so nothing is damaged due to such hard hit as you've explained.

Thanks for your help guys. The tire has not lost any air so I guess that's good. I'm more concern with the suspension/linkage/joints. It was a very hard hit. Like I said I'm going to the dealer tomorrow and tell them to check the entire front end.

If the tire has a bubble in it you should replace it pronto. They can check the wheel when they have the tire off.

With the miles you described on the tires I would replace 2 of them, if not the entire set (depending on wear).

It does also seem as if the alignment is off.

I hit a pothole on a state highway last week and the state is going to pay for my new tire + rim. Contact your state highway safety offices and take pictures ASAP. Make them pay for it. Search for my recent post on this topic.

white98lude- I thought about doing that. But, after reading your post I will do this. I need to buy film and get to the place soon. I'm stuck at work until late so I guess I'll do it tomorrow before work.
I'll let you know what happens. Thanks.

Bubble are scary. Once I found one on my tire that wasn't even evident. It showed up while I was putting in air (wasn't over inflating). The Government pays, eh? That's good because we are paying for the roads anyways.....nice to know we don't have to pay twice.
