help with fuel and temp gauges

So ever since I bought my car almost two years ago, my temp and gas gauges have been non-functional.

First off, the fuel gauge always read above full. I opened up the gauges and checked the connection and moved the needle around and everytime I turn on the car, it just moves back up over full. So i know that the gauge works. I have a feeling it's the fuel gauge sending unit. I know I won't know for sure until I actually go in there and check it, but any ideas??

Second, my temp gauge doesn't work. I thnk the gauge itself is busted. When I move the needle around, it just stays there when I turn it on. I need to check the sending unit on that one too. I was thnking about replacing it with an aftermarket one. Does anyoen know what size the stock temp gauge is? And would it be possible to retrofit into the stock gauge panel?

the previous owner swapped it with a white faced gauges. I have a feeling he fuked up the temp gauge, but i dont know how he could've messed up the gas gauge.

oh trust me its quite easy to **** up either of the gauges on the gauge cluster
looks like youre going to have to replace the temp and fuel gauge
as for fuel gauge tho, I would check the sending unit first

if you have to replace the temp and fuel, be aware that you have to buy the temp/tach assembley and the speedo/fuel assembley
both very $$$
I paid $256 just for the temp/tach to replace my broken tach

check to see if its that sending unit for the fuel, otherwise, youre looking at a whole new gauge cluster since both sides are messed up

I had to replace my tach and the assembley only comes in temp/tach and the other side is speedo/fuel
the temp tach was $256
so yea youre looking at a lot of $$$ if you have to replace both sides
