2000 prelude base went to go out for lunch today and the drivers outside handle did not work - but opening the car from inside did. Rolled the window down on the way but stopped when I heard CRUNCH. Got to my destination and the inside door handle didn't work either. Screwed! had to climb out the passenger seat. Door locks appear to be fully functional and do not feel or sound disconnected, just the handles.

Cant get the door open to remove the door panels and get to the latch mechanism, cant get the window down to pry back up and over the door panels, cant really do anything.

Any tips/ideas? Anyone know where there are photos of the prelude door with panel removed so I can see where things are?

Helms manual has detailed instructions on removing/replacing door handles. I followed them to replace my broken handle and had no problems.
