HELP ASAP: Camber Kit, Koni Shocks

Yesterday i rotated my front tires and found out that the tires are worn in the inside REAL bad. I wont have the money to buy new tires for at least another month but i want to get a camber kit at the same time to prevent this from happening again. Im at work and cant spend to much time searching so can someone guide me to a site or suggest a camber kit for my 98 SH, its lowered about 2.5" - 3" in the front, the rear doesnt need a camber kit.

Also im lowered on Ground Controls and would like to get Koni yellows, can someone tell me a site where i can buy these at a reasonable cost?

There is always Ground Control. You said you have their sleeves. If they were machined for Koni shocks all is good since GC does the sleeves specifically for the shocks. If by chance you have the other version, GC can supply the adaptor plates for the Koni shocks. They are an authorized supplier and service center for Koni.
I bought my shocks and Camber kits from Ultra Performance in Tucson-great folks to deal with. Summit can supply Koni as well. Ultra can supply both Specialty Products and Ingalls Camber kits. You MUST get the car aligned before you order them. Otherwise you will NOT know which ones you actually need. If you want more help- drop me an e-mail.
My setup is on Neuspeed Sport Springs and Koni yellow and I use Ingalls 3571 and 3573 on the rear and SPC 67135 up front-The Prelude was done this way because it is primarily a road car, but does see some HPDE.

Take your time putting the right package together. Good luck

So your saying i should get an alignment done to see how much my camber is off? One problem that i have is my 2 front shocks are gone, the drivers side being so bad that i have the coilover set higher at that side just to match the passenger side height. Wouldnt i need to get new shocks in there first inorder to get an acurate camber reading?

Also i noticed that www.nopionline.com has the SP camber kits for the SH front wheels for $97 each. Does anyone know if this kit comes with everything needed to fix the camber? And once i install the camber kit, where would i take it to have a camber adjustment done? I know some alignment shops wont work on camber on cars that are lowered or have upgraded suspensions.

Did you have a shop tell you how much your camber was off before you ordered or did you just buy them? Where did you buy them from? You have an SH or Base?

You need to have good shocks on the car first. YES-you need to align after putting them on and before ordering any parts. There is NO way to say how much correction you need until then. The general rule for Camber is-for each 1" that you lower the car the Camber will go -.84 degrees from the starting point (stock).

Where you buy parts is up to you. I buy from Ultra Performance in Tucson as they sell both Ingalls and SPC kits for our Preludes. If you have an SH-be forewarned that some kits for the front will NOT work correctly-seems Honda machined the knuckles a tiny bit different from the BASE model if you go with the balljoint type. Actually, the balljoint type is your best option and there are kits to do that too. Ask Ingalls and SPC or contact www.northstarmfg.com for their version.

Need more help drop me an e-mail.

Ok, so im gonna purchase the shocks first, get them installed, and then get the car aligned and camber checked. Then buy the necessary camber kit. Along with the new tires.

The only decision now is which shocks and camber kit to go with Man having blown shocks rely sucks, steering is so inaccurate and delayed. You feel so much loss of car control.

For the price of the Konis i have also looked into getting a full coilover set up, like Teins. What sites are out there, other than Teins them selves, where i can order these from and get the best price? Anyone experieced Teins and Tanabe Sustec setups?

I've had Konis and Teins. IMO they're about the same. I loved my Konis and I love my Teins. I'd be hard pressed to choose between the two if I had to start all over again. Keep in mind that Konis don't have the rust problem like the Teins, but Teins are....well Teins..enough said... As for camber kits, I'm pretty sure that jc836 and I love our SPC front and Ingalls rear combo. MugenPowerLude...you are the man for searching for my little guide.

Alright so i decided to go with the Konis since i have the ground controls already. That way i will have the ability to adjust the height and ride of the car. Now all i need to do is find the camber kit that i need.

So once i get my shocks installed and car aligned and the camber checked. Where would i go to buy the camber kit? Is there a site or PO member that can hook me up with a decent price?

after you get your camber kit install, you may need to get another alignment...especially if the kit is universal where it adjust 1 to 3 degrees.
