I think I have the same problem as you. Its a 2001 with 5500 miles on it when I felt the power lost. Took it to the dealer and they tested it with many tests

(yeah right) and told me nothing was wrong. I know there's something wrong. When I had about 200 lbs of stuff in my trunk before this happened and compared to now, the power is completely different. Alot weaker, I would say 60 percent weaker!

I don't know what it is. I was thinking maybe it could be the clutch? It did get little looser and first gear is really weak, doesn't pull as hard. It starts off really slow.
I think the dealer doesn't want to be honest with me because it's covered under warranty and I have honda care. So I'm suspecting this to be a very expensive problem? Maybe my tranny is bad? Because I did f**k the clutch a lot from bad driving technique when I first got the car. I remember I hacked the damn shifter, shifting hard. Grinding, and even once on vtec (6600 rpms). And I remember hitting cut off, going over 8000 rpms several times.
Do you think these factors caused power lost?
What can I do to restore the power?
