Headlight is loose?

I was looking under the hood of my car b/c I smelled burning rubber, don't know if it was mine or not, but they just changed all the belts......
Anyway, the headlight is loose. The little notch that's supposed to sit in a round hole in the frame is loose.......the headlight will wobble with moderate force. Anybody seen this before?

mine is loose to...it actually has a crake where it is connected to the frame int he engine compartment.

I am wondering if it is covered by my warrany...since i don't know what made it break, i have no mods and rarely check my engine or mess with anything in there.

I considered drilling a hole in the plastic and using a screw to secure it if there's enough plastic there. Anyone think this is a bad idea?

They' shouldn't have loosened this when they were doing the timing belts and other stuff, should they?

my headlight is loose too, the bolt that secures it in the back seems to be broken ...um i dont thnk you should drill in your headlight since moisture could get in...could ruin your bulbs and cause problems at worst and at best it could leave water inside lookin like you got into an accident

I just fixed my drivers side headlight the other day. I had my front bumper all the way off and was taking out my resonator, and I decided to take my headlight out because it was doing that. There is a little plastic tab on top of the headlight that bolts to that beam by the radiator, and it was broken on mine. I superglued it together and put the headlight back in, but didn't tighten the top screw where it was cracked. I drove like that for a day and then tightened it more, and now it feels solid. That damn headlight assembly is expenseive, but I might sell them in the future and buy some new ones (stupid rock dings). Junkyard anyone....?

I have the same **** on my car on BOTH headlights. I have a 98 lude with headlights from a 2001 and i have the same problem boths sides. Honestly I don't find it to be a problem at all because they only move if you touch them, so its no big deal.
