has anyone just installed a p13 on a 5th gen

with the proper wiring adaptor of course, but has anyone tried this? what happened? what codes did you throw if any?

why do you want to put a p13 in?

if its OBD1, i think that all those ecu's came w/ the same connectors...

Well 5th gen is obd2 and I want to install an obd1 ecu. I have a 4th gen obd-1 ecu (that may even be jdm) which should give me some good gains, however, I want to know if you can just plug it in like you can the GSR ecu.

nope you need a obd1 vtec distributor, resistor pack, injectors, and maybe even a fuel rail. But you need tho0se for sure

well, no you definately don't need a fuel rail, and I don't think you need the distributor either.

is there anyone who just plugged it in and got any codes that came out?

Yes, Mazen (g5luder) and I tried it. We used just an OBD2-> OBD1 wiring harness that Mazen bought from Skunk2 and my P13 ECU. We got about 50ft before the CEL came on. It was throwing 3 codes, but I can't remember what they were... Maybe g5luder does...

I had the error codes written in an email somewhere, but I can't find it anymore...
