Has anyone put a shift boot on the e-brake?

You know, to get rid of that stiff rubber surround at the base of the e-brake handle. If anyone has replaced it with a soft shift-boot, what kind did you use? Did you use another Prelude shift boot or did you buy an after market one? Do you have any pictures?

Thanks.

Someone here did replace it with an aftermarket leather boot. Can't remember who but it was recent, no more than a few months ago...and it looked kool. I want one.

Do a search..im sure you will find the post and pics too.

"ebrake" boot

I did the centre console thingy... got CF cover, grey vinyl on centre console, also around the SS transmission gate, and also the ebrake handle. Cut off the stock ebrake and put an aluminium/CF handle on. Changes the whole look of the centre, much neater and nicer I think. Simply got a motor trimmer to do all the work, pretty easy.

haha! interesting that they don't flip the center console for right side drivers. the emergency brake is on the right side of the console on american cars too.

interiors & stuff

yeah I wish the ebrake wasn't right next to my left thigh, I have a bad habit of resting my left forearm on the ebrake thingy, if I accidentally yank on it while driving... not good.

The gauge surround, I actually sent it to be chromed, along with the speaker grilles and the little thingy around the sunroof button.

I had painted some of the interior plastic parts silver, but that just looks crap and cheap, so I decided to do it properly.
