Harness bar - Honda Prelude Forum

Hey i was just trying to round up whats available for the 5th gens as far as harness bars goes. From my search i've only found that the Sparco harness bar is the only one currently made, and i've found that the NRG one shows that it fits the prelude as well.

I've seen the NRG one on its website, and it doesn't say that it fits the lude, but on this ebay link it says it does.

(sorry ebay link isn't working right now, i'll put it in later)

Anybody have any other brands that i'm missing that are currently in production?

I've seen the bar you are talking about. You should call NRG just to be sure.
I don't know if I would go the cheap route when it comes to safety. Does the NRG bar even come with those support rods that attach to the floor like the sparco one?

I think that based on what I've seen that yes the NRG bar is the same as the Sparco Bar. The only difference is the name. Actually, the shape of the bar itself lends it to being able to accomodate a couple of different lengths (from B Pillar to B Pillar) because if you rotate the bar downward, you're able to fit it in a wider car but if you rotate it upward you're able to fit it in a narrow-er car.

And yes, the NRG does come with the bars that go to the floor and all the same hardware. The key into making these things fit is the swiveling threaded end on both sides of the floor bars, they're very easy to manuever so you can test fit it a couple different ways.

To be honest, had I known this when I bought my Sparco bar, I probably would've saved $200 or whatever the difference is and gotten the NRG bar instead.

I would like to see someone who has a picture of it installed though, because I searched as well.
