h22a4 obd2 oil pump?

i bought a used h22a4 motor for my 99 prelude, notice im missin a crank position sensor, the oil pump assy is a obd1 also, i plan on gettin a obd2 oil pump assy, would that be a correct change on the same engine? will everything jus bolt righ in place?

yes it will. reasonable, iuf you wanted to use the obd1 pump you just need to run the obd1 dizzy for the Cranl position sensor. I have found it is usualyl best to buy new oil pump raterh than use a used one.

ever changed it wit the engine still in the car? or should i pull the engine out

Yes i have, it is pain in the ass to do it while in the car. The easiest way is to remove the engine (which if you have the tool is only a two hour job if taht) then have it up on stand. The thign with repalcign the oil pump is that since it is such major component you might as well replace many of the other parts too as you will have the opputunity to get access top them easily. This wasy you can begin a new "service interval" scheduale as the parts will all be new ont eh same time.
