h22a swap in 98 prelude

i am helping a friend put a h22a engine in his 98 prelude.
i have put motor swaps in civics and integra's before but this is my first prelude.
i dropped the new motor with his transmission in and plugged everything up, i took the knock sensor plug off the jdm harness and put it in the place of his plug on his stock harness. i also changed his distributer i put his obd2 on the obd1 jdm engine. i figured since i did that that the jdm ecu could be used with an obd2-obd1 jumper harness. i did so and have no spark. im thinking it is because the jdm engine has no crank angle sensor and his obd2 harness has a place to plug one up. but i thought if i used the obd1 ecu it would not have to have the crank angle sensor , and therefor i would not have to change the oil pumps...

any help on the\is no spark problem would be greatly appreciated.

you need to swap over the intake mani. the dizzy and the oil pump. the jdm engine have the cranksensor in the dizzy and on the obd2 the crank sensore is in the oil pump housing with the pump. to do this correctly you need to change the oil pump, the mani with injhectors and the dizzy. good luck man, if you have problems phone the honda dealership and ask exactly what you need to do, they were happy to assist me so.
