h22a Limp mode maybe? help please

The car is a 97 prelude SH with a jdm h22a in it. All the wiring was done correctly and the car was running mint.

Yesterday I brought it up to about 110 mph on the highway and all of the sudden the engine died and brought me down to 3k rpm.

Now:
When its cold and i start it up it revs fine.

Once it warms up and i restart the engine it appears to go into limp mode and won't rev past 3k in any gear or neutral.

CEL is on and p1382 comes up when i check the codes and its 'manufacturer controlled ignition switch'.

When I clear the code and restart the engine the CEL is on right away again.

It takes 3-4 seconds to start the engine now opposed to right away like it was yesterday (the starter is brand new)

-----------------

I tried pulling the fuse or disconnecting the battery, doesn't help at all.

To me this sounds like a dizzy problem but i just put in a new cyp sensor and the weird part is that when it's cold it revs fine until i restart the engine..

Anyone have any idea? I tried searching but this seems to be unique as it runs fine when its cold. Thanks guys

there was an ignition switch recall for the 5th gens, not sure which years. i have a '99 and i had to have mine replaced. call a honda dealer and give them your vin number, they should be able to tell you if it needs to be replaced.

mine did and i went with one of these and did it myself (easy btw)
go to
Genuine Honda Parts - Honda OEM Parts
for a new one. you can get them for under 40$ i think, mine was.
