Hey everyone, i'm in desperate need of a drop and after thinking it over..i have decided to go with springs rather than coilovers because of the fact that i don't think i'd probably ever touch the coilovers anyway...my question is, which would you guys suggest, H&R or Eibach? thanks
I jus went through the exact same decision last week...did some asking around and research on old threads...after reading H&R's seemed to be the best way to go considering the ride and price jus waiting for them to arrive
my buddy has them on his mr2 turbo and his pasio and his ride bounces on both cars, o im sorry he has the H&Rs. I had the eibach sport line on last car and it did not hop at all, the back was lower than the front thoe, and that was a SE-r. Hope that helps
so far H&R seems to be the best way to go...i was lookin at eibachs because of the fact that the honda dealership i bought my honda from had a fixed up civic lowered on eibachs....so i figured that eibach would be the best bet....do any of you know the cheapest place to buy H&R springs? i checked out tire rack and they have em there for about 170 if i remember correctly....thanks for all yer replies

thanx for the link...i didn't know that for the price of my shoes...i could have my car lowered haha.... ah well....i still have to get new shocks and struts...
i saw two preludes at a local shop called racing zone in orlando and one had the sport and one had the race and both had 18inch, the race was low and i mean low the other looked good and clean but still a little low for my taste, the race setup the girl had to roll the inside of her finder lip (no preverts please!!) so that it would not rub, the guy that had the sport did not have to do anything his did not rub. Theres a guy wit a pic of his blude lude on here he use to have a CF hood on his car, hes got as pic of his prelude with the race spring on it, looks good standing still.
sport or race....another one of those decisions I had to make
sport has a nice clean 1.4 drop. No need for a camber kit or new shocks right away (this is what I got)
race i think has a 2.3 drop?? I read that it cambers like hell though but slammed preludes look so clean!!
I got 'em for $150 shipped...damn good deal from this guy i found on ebay auction4e@yahoo.com . I had to talk him down a bit and he gave in to me....it's that girl charm
hmm so sport it is haha....i don't wanna deal with camber problems....i think i'm finally goin to get my lowerin kit....i guess i juss need to save a little more (i don't have a job) which means i'll juss save lunch money haha....it's okay though, i already have my rims, body kit, tint, system and hopefully my lowerin kit...thanx everyone

I wish i had bought the Tanabe Super H springs...now they are discontinued and impossible to find.

yea the sagging is true about the eibachs alot of my friends have eibachs now there getting H&R ... after i got mines installed yesterday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG i luv it !!!!!!!!Rides so nice, and yet so smooth of course with Koni's stock shocks i have no clue
i have the eibach prokits. i wrote up a review when i first got them. you can do a search if you really want i'd ridin in cars with all type of springs. h&r race springs, progress springs, prokits on my car, ground control coilovers, neuspeed race springs. I would have to say that mine is the least bouncy. the race springs, i would have to say, have the best handling due to the stiffness of the springs (neuspeeds). the h&r's are not as stiff as the neuspeeds, and not as soft as the prokits. it is a bit bouncy, but keep in mind that all the cars that have the springs i spoke about are riding on stock shocks. The ground controls are the most bouncy, but probably because of the stock shocks. However, the only thing i do not like about the prokits is that it is not low enough for my taste. If i could do it again i'd probably go with the eibach sportlines. as for the sagging, mine have not sagged yet, and i had them for about a few months now. i wish they did sag tho, just so i could have the drop i wanted, >1.5" sorry for the long post hope some of it helped
