H&R Springs????

I need to know if anyone is running the H&R 1.4" drop on there car... I am looking into buying these and I will be running then off of my stock Shocks ??? Is that a good Idea.. I just can't afford the shocks right now, I will also be driving my car in the winter time so I want to make sure I still have some sort of clearence..

Thanks

I have the red H&R sport springs that supposedly drop that much. I have them on stock shocks and i haven't had any problems yet. A little bouncy here and there, but the ride is fine.
It's a perfect even looking drop front and rear.

hi there, yah I got the H&R sport with stock shock.
Ride is okay, a bit bumpy if the road's uneven.

the spring's red... I thought sport spring are yellow? but the drop seems about right

TCB007, how's the ride with koni? did you have H&R spring + stock shock before you install the koni? if yes, does the ride quality improve a lot?

some told me koni's pretty stiff, and replacing stock shock with koni would make it even bumpier?

i have the H&R too with stock shocks... everything is fine, big bumps will make for a bouncy ride tho. but it doesnt happen often enough to get on your nerves.

Well I bought my 98' Lude like 3 months ago and I have been doing alot of research on springs, because I am planning on buy some for the spring time.. I found out from talking to alot of people that the H&R sport springs give the best stiff ride and not as bouncy... I also found out that the Neuspeed and the ProKits don;t give a even ride.. And thats what look for is a nice even sleek looking car..

what do you mean by even ride?

do you mean the front and back drop is the same?

cuz i'm sure i have about a half inch to an inch gap bigger in the back than in the front. In the front with 17s i have no gap at all.

Off stock rims... The H&R sports should be even front and back... with the 1.4" drop...

get the H&R race spring and the aps/koni sport shocks that way you can have the stiffer spring rate of the race and the same height drop as the sport springs by setting the aps/koni shocks at the highest perch it would be a approx 1.5" front and 1.3" rear drop

no flame here, but dude, u really can't say they suck unless u have aftermarket shocks to even out the ride. any springs over a 1" drop are gonna be bumpy... im not trying to flame but u shoudn't judge that on ur bad experience with the stock shox!

Most springs driven on stock shocks for over 2 years will drive like crap.

H&Rs are great quality.
