gutted lude..............brackets?? - Honda Prelude Forum

as you all know i have gutted the lude.............when you remove the back seats and everything else........there are 2 big black brackets.........these brackets do not have nothing to do with holding the back seats they are just bolted to the body of the car.................what the hell are they for.........???????

i dont know but if there bolted to the body you might wanna leave them alone lol

They stiffen the chassis. If you are just going to drag race then take them out. However if you are going to autocross or road race then I would leave them in. I have mine out because I have a roll cage right next to them that stiffens the chassis there already.

Also, Marcucci and I took out my a/c this weekend. Everything only weighed 33 pounds.

Currently I have a 6 point autopower bolt in. It is for sale for $250 + shipping. I am going to have a custom cage done.
