hey guys my names josh i recently bought a stock black 97 prelude bm with 133k
only problems it has is throwing two codes bank 1 02 sensor and a knock sensor which so far ive heard the knock sensor is a pain to change. it was owned by a lady in her 50's and well taken care of she had it repainted a few years ago and removed all the badges and prelude on bumper and shaved the trunk lock aswell. Anything i should worry about or do to it?plans this weekend is tune up, sensors, and catback im buying off a buddy. will have pics if anyone would like to see
awesome man, i love the 97 base, they are the lightest prelludes out there and have a slightly more angular nose line.(watch that when you get lights and hoods and stuff). congrats man!!!
its a 5spd and its a pretty nice ride hope it lasts longer than my last car lol
n thanks ill have to keep that in mind with the lights because i actually neeed a driver side headlight its got a film over it.
Get your o2 sensor here http://oxygensensor123.com/ They are $35 for a PnP Denso. Don't pay $200+ for the universal bosch sensors autozone stocks. As for the knock sensor...you will have to go to Honda to get that one. They are not cheap and they are easy to break. If you don't fix the knock sensor it can make your car run like dookie, as can a bad primary o2.
