Got a good laugh for everyone!

So today at work this kid comes in with a brand new weapon r dragon intake for his rx8!!! sweet I know..so anyways we are all talking cars and this other kid is saying how its gonna make his car sound sweet and add a bunch of power....then they show me the little booklet that came in the box and say "look it says 8-16 hp gain!!!!" haha then they try making me look like im stupid saying its barely gonna give it 1hp or so....and the funny thing is that our ludes keep up with these cars especially pulling on the highway like I have done myself....but I did not even try to bring that up being that you can imagine the reaction these guys and their huge knowledge of cars would say about a prelude keeping up with an rx8

One a straight line probably, but on handling, it will run circles around a prelude all things equal.

Like I said, all things being equal but that still doesn't make up the fact that the prelude is a FWD and the RX-8 is a RWD.

The RX-8 chassis is probably one of the real working man's best chassis right now. I think it just won the 24 hours of le mans.

I've been spanked straight line and handling in the sh. My ghey neighbor has one, and it was quite upsetting losing to him every morning going to work. Its like losing to a girl. Oh well, I run circles around him now.

I agree with you there. Was this RX-8 modified? I see 24 hours le mans there hmmm lol! Yeah man I know by far the RX-7 and the RX-8 are beautiful and are very good at handling as it is RWD. I would have a mazdaspeed 8 or a full done up rx7 any day but damn they are worth a **** load more compared to our hondas.

lol the funniest thing about your post is, that i raced a rx8 today and beat him. he then stopped at the same gas station as me afterwards and said that my car have to be super-charged or have a turbo, because there was no way a normally aspirated prelude could have beat him

I pulled on a black rx8 on the highway just yesterday. I believe that rx8's come with 2 different trim models one haveing more power than the other, can someone varify this? For after the results yesterday I am sure that the rx8 I ran with was the lesser hp model and might have been an auto becuase I have seriously seen sentra spec v's that were faster than this rx8. And it was extra fun because there were two tool kids in it.

From WIKIPEDIA - - - "At launch, the RENESIS was available in standard and high power versions. The 4-port standard RENESIS produced 210 hp (160 kW) and was coupled with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The 6-port high power RENESIS was only available with a six-speed manual transmission and was rated at 250 hp (190 kW). For the North American market, Mazda revised the reported output rating of the standard and high power RENESIS soon after lauch to 197 hp (147 kW) and 238 hp (177 kW), respectively."

Hell no its far more superior. Performance is not all about HP it is about how it handles too. The Mazdaspeed is like the Dc5 Type R or Dc2 Type R it should beat us hands down because our cars haul so much ass.
