Why are you replacing the valve cover and oil cap?

Manual tensioner is only necessary if you plan on running aftermarket cams in the future.

Dony know if I'm going to run AM cams...but I got 140k on the car. So I might as well while I got it apart. Just in case

Because the valve cover is old and ugly, and I wanted one of those color coordinated caps.

What's wrong with the old valve cover, is it cracked or is the paint simply coming off?

Just paint it.... Or ship it to me.

Hell yeah, if you wanna get rid of that valve cover I'd also take it off your hands, need one to weld AN fittings to for a PCV delete, looking for a fixer upper.

Oil Pump Gasket? Is that what your referring to as the balancer o-ring seal? Or did you mean Balancer Shaft Seal?

you had said:

I found the main seals:
Crank Shaft Oil Seal (Rear) 91214-PR4-A01
Crank Shaft Oil Seal (Front) 91212-PT0-003

What about the Oil Strainer & Gasket? That something that needs to be changed?

What's with the Bando belts?

For the full part # list, just do a search for Timing Belt and you'll find it. I can't remember if it's on here or on PreludePower.com.

My buddy owns a shop. He uses bando belts. Says they are the same company that manufactures belts for Honda. Says he's never seen one pre-maturely fail in his 25 years in business. I take his word for face value. He isn't making a dime off me on parts, I see his cost. He can get me a bando timing belt for 40% less than the same belt from Honda and its the exact same belt.

That "o-ring" is the balancer o-ring seal.

See mine and minilogo's posts in this thread: 01 Prelude sh timing belt & water pump

I gave you the vtec screen/gasket(one thing) part number. It can be changed at your discretion.

Just did 2 of the 3 part seafoam treatment (Intake & Fuel System)...Ran engine to operating temp, Slowly trickled 5 oz. thru the Brake Boost Vacuum line then shut down engine. 10 Min later started her up...Threw a CEL...Ran @ 2500 rpm till the thick white smoke thinned out and then took er out for a good solid ring out. Took it to VTEC a few times and ran till no more smoke was visible. Disconnected the battery for 10 min..hooked it back up and all is good!
Don't know what everyone elses experience is...but WOW! What a difference...smooth and easy pickup now...just all around better!

Why should I check my PCV valve? I said the seafoam worked great.
